The Blob’s Big Beautiful Billionaire Bill

In case you hadn’t looked into the details of Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill”, I’ll just summarize it concisely for you. It was written by the billionaires to further enrich the billionaires at everyone else’s expense. Of the billionaires, by the billionaires, for the billionaires. That is about all you need to know. It has nothing to do with addressing any problems in our country, or the world, it is just another money grab by the people with the most money.

The Blob’s Big Beautiful Billionaire Bill (B5) will increase the debt, drive up consumer prices, reduce spending on critical needs in the US and make a ton of money for the monied interests who wrote it. This is just more of the same crap that oozed out of the Powell Memorandum of 1971. The Powell memorandum written by Lewis F. Powell Jr. (who was rewarded a year later by a seat on the US Supreme Court) wrote a detailed plan for the oligarchs in the US to take over the government, academia and the news media while also setting up a series of think tanks to drive US policy in favor of the oligarchs. By 1981, the Reagan administration was using the Powell Memorandum as a blueprint for corporate control of the US government. The CIA re-instituted a much more comprehensive version of Operation Mockingbird, and infiltrated every major news media outlet in the US. Think tanks sprung up all across DC. Universities got billions of dollars of “donations” from the oligarchs, who now wielded tight control over curricula and messaging on campuses. Regulations were slashed and taxes for the wealthy cut, over and over. And look at where we are now, with a complete corporate takeover of our government to the point where even constitutional rights have been stripped away from citizens. You can now be arrested or deported for speech that is protected under the First Amendment.

B5 will not have any positive effects for US citizens, unless of course those citizens are extremely rich. What is interesting is that Trump doesn’t seem to know or care that B5 will cause lots of pain for many people as prices rise even further, possibly pushing the economy into a recession, or worse. It is impossible to believe that no one has mentioned to Trump (for example Elon Musk) that tariffs drive up prices, at a time when inflation has been hitting people hard. No matter, The Blob’s Big, Beautiful, Billionaire Bill is going to go through congress, and my guess is that there will be intense pressure from the billionaires and their lobbyists to pass it. I doubt that enough of the congress creeps will be able to resist that much pressure, considering the have spines of Jell-O and can’t resist large bribes.

The Blob’s Big Beautiful Billionaire Bill is just one more example of the iron grip that the oligarchs have over our government, institutions and us. Things aren’t going to get any better as long as the billionaires have billions of dollars to wage war on the rest of us.
