John:

First time visit for me; saw your remarks over @ MoA, and followed your link. Your essays are well-written, and your years as an observer of politics and media are bearing fruit.

One of the things I find interesting is the gang-like behavior of the Blob. While both Russia and China have exhibited plenty of gang behaviors, they both seem to be evolving away from gang-turf warfare and into regional cooperation across gang turf zones. (the various nations of SCO, for ex).

Putin, if you believe the rhetoric, is trained as an attorney, and goes to great pains to remain within the confines of international law. Another example.

How is it that Russia and China seem to be traversing a fairly different branch of the tree than we are?

Separately....

Are you doing any thinking about bottom-up economic development? Top-down is owned by the Blob, and unless we want to remain trapped on the Stupid Train, we (the little people) are going to need a fundamentally different strategy than just complaining / chronicling our demise out here on the margins of the media space.

A brilliant analysis, John; but it is clear that Joe Biden is not a competent mouthpiece for Susan Rice, let alone the Blob. He is clearly the sphincter, out of which the waste products of the New World Order spray.

You didn't leave China out of the discussion; but China will clearly end up being the champion of this worldwide chess match. All of its pieces are held in reserve, waiting for the moment its ally Russia asks for them.

As Obama's hero Jeremiah Wright said years ago, America's chickens are coming home to roost.

Hi Charles, I always wonder what the world would be like if people were cooperative rather than competitive. Where would we be now if Russia, China and the US had worked together to fix the world's problems after WWII, rather than being belligerent. Of course it was the US that broke that alliance up even before the war officially ended. The two A-bombs were a signal to China and Russia that the alliance was just temporary and for our convenience. Once the Nazi/Japan problems were over, we said F that to cooperation. It's been a pretty rocky road for the world ever since.

PS, wish I had used the sphincter analogy...
